Our website is designed to give you detailed information about becoming a professional helicopter pilot, obtaining a helicopter rating for pleasure or advancing your career goals. Northern Helicopters is the only helicopter training facility in northern Minnesota. Covered in beautiful woodlands and water filled iron ore pits, northern Minnesota makes for a unique and exciting flying experience.
Together with the Chisholm-Hibbing Airport and Hibbing Community College, Northern Helicopters has developed a comprehensive training school and degree program that will teach you the necessary skills for becoming a pilot. We fly and train with Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters, Bell 206 B3, Cessna 185/amphib floats – the safest and most widely used helicopters in the industry.
Northern Helicopters is the only FAA 141 approved helicopter flight school in Minnesota.
